Googles new android one

After announcing it first back at I/O 2014, Google today
finally launched the first Android One devices in India.
The first three phones to be launched are the Karbon
Sparkle V, Micromax Canvas A1, and Spice Dream UNO.
The Dream UNO is the cheapest at INR6,299 ($103), while
the Sparkle V costs INR6,399 ($105) and the Canvas A1
costs INR6,499 ($106).
All three phones are being sold exclusively through three
different online stores. The Karbonn Sparkle V will be sold
on Snapdeal, the Micromax Canvas V1 through Amazon,
and the Spice Dream UNO through Flipkart.

In terms of specifications, all three phones are based on
Google's reference design, and as such are pretty much
identical. All three have a 4.5-inch, 854x480 resolution
IPS display, MediaTek MT6582 SoC with 1.3GHz quad-core
Cortex-A7 CPU and Mali 400 MP2 GPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB
storage space with microSD card slot, 5 megapixel rear
camera, 2 megapixel front camera, FM radio, dual SIM
support, and replaceable 1,700mAh battery. The only
differences will be in the design and minor software
enhancements.
The best thing about these phones is that they all run
stock version of Android, 4.4.4 KitKat in this case. The
phones will get OS updates directly from Google for two
years since launch. These phones will also be first in line
with the Nexus devices to get Android L, or any future
release.
Google also has done partnership with Airtel, India's
biggest mobile carrier. Users on Airtel will be able to
download Android updates for free (that is, without being
charged for data downloads) for the first six months.
Airtel users will also be able to download up to 200MB
worth of apps from the Google Play Store every month,
which won't be counted towards their mobile data.

Another interesting feature is that Android One users will
be able to download and watch YouTube videos offline,
something not yet available on any Android device. They
will also get one year free subscription to content on
Google Play Newsstand. Apart from this, the individual
online stores selling these phones also have additional
offers available, including financing options, discounts on
accessories, and free memory card.
India is just the first country to receive Android One.
Google will be bringing Android One devices to other
countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines and South
Asia (Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka) by the
end of the year, with more countries to follow in 2015.
There will also be other Androd OEMs, who will be joining
Micromax, Karbonn, and Spice later. These include Acer,
Alcatel Onetouch, ASUS, HTC, Intex, Lava, Lenovo,
Panasonic, Xolo, and Qualcomm.
Android One is a great initiative by Google to bring
smartphones to the masses. But with devices like Xiamomi
Redmi 1s and Moto E (which are similarly priced and
offer better specs) already on the market, not to
mention the lack of availability of these phones outside
the aforementioned online retailers, we would have to
wait and see how successful it is

Apple iphone 6 and 6 plus

Apple has unveiled two new iPhones, the 4.7-inch iPhone
6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus . Along with larger
screens and a completely new iPad-style design with an
ultra thin body and rounded corners, the two new phones
offer faster processors, better cameras, and Apple's
new Apple Pay payment system.
Apple's new iPhones are available in Gold, Silver, and
Space Gray, and are available in 16, 64, and 128 GB
capacities. The iPhone 6 pricing starts at $199, while
the iPhone 6 Plus pricing starts at $299.
While both models include the same 64-bit A8 chip and
the same general design, there are several differences
between the two phones. The iPhone 6 measures in at
6.9mm , while the iPhone 6 Plus is slightly thicker at
7.1mm . Apple's iPhone 6 Plus also has three major
differentiating factors: optical image stabilization for
the camera, and a longer battery life , and an iPad-
style landscape mode that displays more content on the
screen.

Though the iPhone 6 Plus has optical image stabilization,
both phones got some major camera improvements in
form of sensor upgrades, improved tone mapping,
better noise reduction, and new "Focus Pixel"
technology, which improves the phone's ability to select
autofocus points. For videos, there's a new 240fps slo-
mo option , along with support for shooting in 1080p at
60fps. The front-facing camera was also upgraded, with
an f/2.2 aperture that lets in more light and new burst
mode capabilities.
Both phones have an impressive new " Retina HD
Display ," with the iPhone 6 featuring a resolution of
1334 x 750 (326 ppi) and the iPhone 6 Plus featuring a
resolution of 1920 x 1080 (401 ppi) .
Design wise, the phones more closely resemble the iPad
and the iPod touch than the iPhone 5s. Both models
have soft, rounded corners and a curved glass screen
that melds smoothly into the thin metal body of the
device. The volume buttons on the left side of the
device are now pill-shaped, and the power button is
located on the right side of the device for easier one-
handed use.
To further make its devices easier to use one-handed,
Apple has added in a new double tap home button
gesture called "Reachability ," which moves items from
the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen for
quick access.
Other new features in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
include WiFi calling support, faster 802.11ac WiFi , and
support for Voice over LTE (VoLTE).

<strong>How to buy :</strong>

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will launch on
September 19 in the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada,
France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, and
Singapore. Apple is taking in-store pre-orders for the
devices as of 8am local time on Friday, September 12 .

<a href="https://custroid.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/wpid-iphone_6_prices1.png"><img title="iphone_6_prices.png" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="https://custroid.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/wpid-iphone_6_prices1.png" /></a>

Online pre-orders kicked off at 12:01am Pacific Time on
the 12th at Apple's online store as well as individual
carrier stores, such as Verizon and AT&amp;T . Pre-orders
suffered heavily from technical difficulties due to
demand, and Apple's own online store didn't come up
until nearly 3 AM PT .
While several iPhone 6 models remain in stock late in the
day on September 12, all models of the iPhone 6 Plus
sold out not long after pre-orders began, with shipping
dates slipping from 7 to 10 days and then to 3 to 4
weeks .
According to an Apple representative, response to the
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus was "incredible," setting a new
record for pre-orders.
Apple's iPhone 6 is available in 16, 64, and 128 GB
capacities, priced at $199, $299, and $399,
respectively, with a two-year contract. The iPhone 6
Plus is available in 16, 64, and 128 GB capacities and
will be priced $100 higher at $299, $399, and $499,
respectively. Both the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus are
available in Space Gray, Gold, and Silver.

<strong>Hands-on First Impressions</strong> :

Following Apple's introduction of the iPhone 6 and its
wearable device, members of the press were invited to
go hands-on with the new devices , letting us get an
early look at the larger-screened iPhones.
Reviews were largely positive, with several people
pointing towards the display of the device. According to
Jared Nelson from TouchArcade , the Retina Display HD
screens look "absolutely incredible" in person. Engadget
noted that despite the resolution difference between
the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the two displays looked
almost identical.
The Verge said the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 "looks great" and
feels like a "hybrid of the iPhone and iPod touch."
Multiple reviews said that even though the larger iPhone
is big, it's easier to hold than expected because of its
rounded edges.

<a href="https://custroid.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/wpid-gizmodoiphonehand1.jpg"><img title="gizmodoiphonehand.jpg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="https://custroid.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/wpid-gizmodoiphonehand1.jpg" /></a>

Testers were also largely impressed with Apple's one-
handed "Reachability" mode, which shrinks anything on
the phone's screen into thumb's reach with a double tap
on the Touch ID home button.

Apple will also be sending out review devices to many
sites, which means we'll be getting some in-depth
opinions of the iPhone 6 in the coming weeks, likely just
ahead of its September 19 release.

<a href="https://custroid.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/wpid-weightanddimensions1.jpg"><img title="weightanddimensions.jpg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="https://custroid.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/wpid-weightanddimensions1.jpg" /></a>

Design :

Measuring in at 4.7 and 5.5-inches, the iPhone 6 and
the iPhone 6 Plus dwarf previous iPhone models, but at
the same time, the two phones are Apple's thinnest yet,
measuring in at 6.9 and 7.1mm , respectively. For
comparison's sake, the iPhone 5s was 7.6mm thick.
According to Apple, the thinner profile was made
possible by the company's "thinnest display yet," which
is made of slightly curved glass designed to flow
seamlessly into the body of the device to highlight the
" Retina HD " screen of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

<strong>Display :</strong>

<a href="https://custroid.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/wpid-iphone6design1.jpg"><img title="iphone6design.jpg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="https://custroid.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/wpid-iphone6design1.jpg" /></a>

iPhone 6 rumors largely suggested Apple would use a
sapphire display cover in the device, but that turned out
to be false. Instead, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus
use "ion-strengthened" glass with an improved polarizer
(for better outdoor viewing), a photo aligned IPS liquid
crystal display, and a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic
coating.
The iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch display with a "2x"
resolution of 1334 x 740 (326 ppi) while the iPhone 6
Plus has a 5.5-inch "3x" resolution of 1920 x 1080 (401
ppi) . Both phones are said to offer higher contrast,
better brightness, and improved white balance.
Apple has implemented several "Reachability " features
to improve the viewing experience on its larger devices,
including Display Zoom and landscape view (iPhone 6 Plus
only). Display Zoom lets users zoom in to get a closer
view at their apps, while standard zoom displays more
content on the screen.
Landscape view on the iPhone 6 Plus is designed to make
the most of the 5.5-inch screen and to help users be
more productive. When in landscape mode, the device will
display apps like Mail, Calendar, and Stocks in a wider
view similar to the way they're displayed on the iPad.

<strong>Operating system :</strong>

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will ship with iOS 8 ,
Apple's newest mobile operating system. iOS 8 's main
goal is to improve integration between Apple devices,
both mobile and desktop, through the use of
" Continuity ."
With Continuity, users can seamlessly transition tasks
between iPhones, iPads, Macs, and the Apple Watch. iOS
8 also includes features like interactive notifications,
widgets in the Notification Center, third-party
keyboards, and a new QuickType predictive keyboard.

Best android wallpaper apps

Hi everyone here is my first post and we are talking about best wallpaper apps on android
Wallpapers are most important part of our daily android experience and most of people don't give them importance and are struck on factory given wall papers here I will review best ones considered by me of which my favourite is background HD as it gives nice variety and performs all rounder
Here we Go :
1. BACKGROUNDS HD
As said it is my favourite one
Background HD is all about high definition background. There
are categories which makes it easier to choose
your favorite wallpaper. If you like cars, there
is a dedicated section which will take you to
them. There are literally thousands of
wallpapers available on this app .
Features :
A lot, really a lot of wallpapers.
Recent category shows the latest additions
to the app.
Navigation is blocky yet simple.
Notable Feature:
The app has a lot of wallpapers and some of
them are made for non-rotating home screens.
If you are a man/girl of only one home screen,
this app has a large selection of fitting images.
2. WALLPAPERS HD :
Wallpapers HD have some great wallpapers but
the clunky interface makes it hard to reach
them. It seems there were some obviously low
resolution images thrown in the app too,
which diminishes the overall value of the app.
The app which has HD in the name should
have a better screening process. Regardless of
the little quirk, the app performs fast and loads
the images quickly. You also have the option to
browse the popular images, which makes
selecting the best wallpaper a lot easier.
Features:
HD images look nice on supported phones.
The categories are a great way to access
favorites.
Download the wallpapers to your Android
device.
Notable Feature:
The wallpapers can be viewed in full screen
giving you the chance to test the image before
application. The images can also be browsed
by swiping left and right.
3. Best Wallpapers HD
Best Wallpapers HD is simply the best Android
wallpaper app if you are looking for a smooth
interface. The app has a blue outlook which
makes it rather bright, this is refreshing
because all the other apps we tested were on
the darker side. The app lists thousands of
wallpapers according to categories which are
simple and easily accessible. From cats to
cityscapes, all are available in this well
organized app.
Feature:
More than 17000 wallpapers to choose
from.
The app has scrollable pictures.
Image wall makes it easy to select.
Notable Feature:
The popular tab right on the opening screen of
the app gives you access to the wallpapers
which are popular with other users. This way
you can have democratically selected list of
great looking wallpapers.
4. WALLBASE
Wallbase is simply the best android wallpaper
app i have found. The app has it all, from
tons of wallpapers organized in categories to
absolutely no watermarks. This is the only app
which tells the exact resolution of the image
before loading it so you can get what you want
instantly without trying out different images.
There are many categories in the app but most
of all there is a search bar right on the top.
Simply search for what you are looking for and
the app will list only the relevant wallpapers.
There is also a popular tab which lists the most
viewed wallpapers as well as a random tab.
Features:
Absolutely no watermarks.
Tells you the exact resolution of images.
Cites the sources clearly.
Search bar is great but searching by tags
is amazing.
Notable feature:
Wallbase is the only app in this list which lets
you search wallpaper by selecting a color.
Simply click the eye dropper icon and you can
select any color. After that the app will show
the best matches for that particular color.
5. HD WALLPAPERS FOR ANDROID
If you are looking for a nice Android wallpaper
app which gets the job done, this is the app for
you. There are a lot of great wallpapers to
choose from. So why is the app so down on the
list? There are some wallpapers which have
watermarks on them, which makes them
completely useless at least for us. This may also
mean that the wallpapers were li
